About Danika Mosher:

Danika Mosher is an undergraduate student at Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, North Carolina. She is studying to get a Bachelor of Science for environmental science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art with a concentration in painting and drawing. Mosher's passion for art was ignited during her high school career at Roanoke Rapids High School in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. She has been an active member of the Roanoke Rapids and Boone communities and has participated in projects in her hometown with the National Art Honor Society to bring back art into the community. Currently while being enrolled at ASU and taking classes, she is also teacing painting lessons at Michaels and is sponsored by Grumbacher. 

Within the field of environmental science, Danika Mosher's interests lie within hydrogeology and pedology. She was inspired through her participation in the Area IV Envirothon during her years in middle school and high school. Another inspiration of hers is her want of helping others and the environment.

 

Danika Mosher believes art is truly a way to inspire people and does so through her art. Her inspiration is to combine her art and science background to influnce people about issues of the environment. She also believes art is another way to communicate emotions that cannot be spoken or explained. She also inspires to help others through her knowledge of the environment to help better the world.
